About the Role

We are seeking a highly creative Senior Digital Marketing Manager to build on and expand our marketing team's capabilities. This is a (hands-on) team leadership position, in which you will be responsible for many aspects of our performance marketing operations. Your central goal is to improve the efficacy of our digital marketing channels, thereby increasing member engagement and growing our brand's influence, loyalty and awareness, worldwide.

Our ideal candidate is an experienced B2B marketing professional. You must be comfortable working in a data driven fast paced environment. In addition to being an outstanding communicator, you will also demonstrate excellent interpersonal and analytical skills. Experience with, and knowledge of Salesforce is essential.

Marketing strategy, tactical planning, and reporting

- Highly creative with experience in segmenting target audiences and creating digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate

  • Driving the implementation of strategic B2B brand awareness and performance marketing plans, budgets, and tactical calendars to achieve annual business objectives and generate market awareness and demand for ESOMAR’s products and services.

  • Establishment of best practices in relation to marketing assets (eg email contacts database)

  • Driving collaboration with the other managers and content providers to optimize communications and support the achievement of all performance objectives.

  • Managing all metrics and KPI reporting to meet lead generation and nurturing goals and optimize CAC. Conduct monthly analysis to gauge marketing effectiveness and report results and recommendations for improvements to the DG.

  • Achieving marketing OKR’s as well as monthly lead generation and nurturing goals.

  • Managing all tactical day to day marketing and marketing staff, as well as and working closely with external vendors (as relevant and as budgeted) to ensure ESOMAR’s strategic marketing and communications plan is implemented on time and on budget.

  • Ensure all marketing communications and collateral aligns with ESOMAR brand/voice guidelines.

Brand awareness and communication

- Overseeing the creation of key marketing and communications materials for sales collateral, content marketing, email campaigns, PR and social media.

- Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests

  • Working with the executive team to develop ESOMAR’s content strategy and ensure content created is widely disseminated and achieves brand awareness and lead generation goals.

  • Ensure ESOMAR is seen as THE association for global insights and analytics professionals.

Performance marketing

- Analysis and evaluation of end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points

- Optimise channel usage to maximise OR’s, CTR’s, lead generation and conversion

- Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights

  • Create, implement, and monitor inbound marketing campaigns to meet lead generation and company revenue targets.

  • Manage all social posting, PPC ad buying management, retargeting and ABM tactics.

  • Manage ESOMAR’s corporate website and ensuring UX, lead generation and SEO/SEM are optimized.

- Supporting the executive, commercial and events teams to deliver an effective events strategy that meets business objectives within a defined budget, including the creation of event collateral, advertisements etc as required.

Requirements

This is a senior position with people management responsibilities that reports directly to the Director General. You must be a self-starter and natural leader that needs minimal oversight, works collaboratively and can confidently make strategic marketing recommendations and implement them while optimizing staffing and budgetary resources. Specific experience required:

  • BS or MS in marketing, public relations, communications, journalism or a related field AND/OR minimum 8-10 years’ experience in increasingly senior level marketing roles.

  • Ideally based in The Netherlands, but other locations will be considered.

  • Fluency in English , in terms of both written and interpersonal communication skills. Writing samples will be requested.

  • Experience in managing a metrics driven marketing strategy that includes both brand awareness and performance marketing tactics for B2B businesses (preferably in the market research or marketing technology vertical).

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask between various projects at one time and complete tasks within short timeframes. Excellent problem solver.

  • Strong understanding of SEM, retargeting, online media buying and ABM strategies for driving both new and existing client growth.

  • Experience with external agency management.

  • Expert level analytical skills with experience with business intelligence platforms(e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends). Able to take disparate data sets and analyze to improve marketing performance. Reporting examples will be requested.

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM/MAP.

  • Experience with managing B2B social media (Twitter and LinkedIn).

  • Expert user of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word)

  • Solid understanding of WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript preferred.

  • Some travel may be required.
