Tony Cowling founded and developed TNS (now Kantar) which, under his leadership, became one of the world’s leading research organisations.  The TCF is a Community Interest Company (CIC), a not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to foster the values Tony encouraged, Internationalism, Innovation & Inclusion in the market research industry.

The TCF Industry Innovation Award strives to continue Tony’s legacy and will be awarded to people whose work will help drive the future of the market research industry. As the Award reflects Tony’s values of Internationalism, Innovation & Inclusion, it veins open to people from around the world, regardless of background or role in the industry.

Do you know someone whose work might reshape our industry if only their ideas were better known? The idea might be small but if it was repeated could make a huge difference to data quality, operations delivery or industry scope? Here’s your opportunity to encourage them to share innovative ideas with TCF and share them with the world at the 75th ESOMAR Congress!

If you are interested yourself, or want to get someone else’s idea promoted:

  • Submit your pitch for how your work might push the boundaries of our industry

  • But in no more than 500 words – Tony liked brevity!

  • Deadline for submissions: June 1st 2022

  • Click here https://tonycowlingfoundation.org/awards for more information and to share your boundary breaking ideas

The winning idea that challenges the market research and insights industry will be rewarded with $5,000 and the opportunity to attend the the 75th ESOMAR Diamond Anniversary Congress to be held in Toronto, Canada 18th – 21st September. The Foundation will cover the costs of travel to and accommodation at the Congress.

Tony liked to hear directly from people so the final decision on who wins this award will be made following a conversation with a panel of industry devotees. The conversations will be virtual, and we’ll arrange simultaneous translation where needed.

So, our ask is for you to put your thinking caps on and get the ideas you think need a bigger platform registered via the Tony Cowling Foundation website. To quote Tony - the fun in this business is being a doer and then talking about it afterwards!

The Tony Cowling Foundation Board is looking forward to your seeing your ideas.
