Four papers nominated for the ESOMAR Best Paper of the Year Award 2024

Every ESOMAR event has an expert committee that reviews and selects the best content submitted by the international data, research and insights community.
All speakers are then invited to document their work in a written paper and the committee of each event rewards one paper with the Best Event Paper Award.
As well as winning that award, each winning paper (from September - August) is then shortlisted for the highly-coveted ESOMAR Best Paper of the Year Award and reviewed by an independent jury.

The winning paper will be announced on Wednesday, 11 September, at 14.00 during the closing of the 2024 Congress in Athens
The authors will receive a prize of €2,000.

Award Criteria
The paper contributes to excellence and best practice in research
The paper is innovative (i.e. break new ground). It shows high levels of creativity, fresh thinking and innovation in the approach
The paper demonstrates a real understanding of the issues by proving its actual or potential impact on decision-making in business and/or society.
It shows how, and under what circumstances, the theory (or the findings) may be best applied.
The paper focuses on applications, including real examples, across cultures, business sectors and countries
The paper shows real and deep customer and/or consumer knowledge
The papers shows the value of scientific, statistical and analytical methods and techniques to gain insight or support decision making

Originally from Wales, Rhiannon has travelled and lived around the world due to her father's career, settling in Amsterdam 20 years ago.
