Since its launch in 2016, the Young ESOMAR Society (or YES!) has been all about shining a spotlight on young professionals. Through trainings, talks, and events, networking opportunities, stage time and magazine space, university partnerships, publications, as well as a few friendly competitions, ESOMAR works to ensure that if you’re just starting out in the industry, you begin with a solid foundation.
Because YOU are the future, we have created a questionnaire to better understand all 30 and under within the ESOMAR community. What are your big ideas? How can ESOMAR help you achieve them?

Danika Smit
ESOMAR Staff, Global Events Sr Executive & YES Community Manager at ESOMARIn 2011, Danika moved to the Netherlands (from Eastern Canada) and in 2012 she started working in the Communications department at ESOMAR. She subsequently transferred to the Events and Content team, where she's since been promoted to Global Events Senior Executive, as well as Young ESOMAR Society (YES!) Community Manager.
Whether crafting the perfect programme, inviting the coolest committee and keynotes, launching new events, strategising on different ways to give young professionals a platform, and/or everything in between, Danika tries to incorporate her passion for innovation, collaboration and celebration into it all!
In past work lives, Danika has worked in a variety of functions, ranging from Summer Arts School Dance teacher to Motel Manager to Behavioral Therapist for children with autism. Outside of work, Danika can often be found travelling, baking or going for forest/beach/dune walks with her family.
