MRII Launches New Emerging Markets Award
New award provides free market research education to winning applicants in emerging markets of Latin America, Africa/Middle East, and Asia/Pacific

March 07, 2024 - [West Dover VT] Market Research Institute International (MRII) has launched its new Emerging Markets Award, sponsored by OvationMR and presented in partnership with ESOMAR and the University of Georgia. Winners will receive a free online market research course offered by MRII together with the University of Georgia. Three winning candidates will be selected in each of the three regions covered by the award, Latin America, Africa/Middle East, and Asia/Pacific.

Ed Keller, executive director of MRII, said, “We are thrilled to launch this award. Our mission is to help educate the world’s market research community. Reaching individuals in emerging markets with our market-leading educational programs is an important objective for us, and ultimately benefits the industry as a whole. We wouldn’t be able to do important programs like the Emerging Markets Award without the support of our sponsors and allies in the insights sector. I am grateful for our partners at ESOMAR and University of Georgia, and our award sponsor, OvationMR, for helping to bring this program to fruition.”

This new award is the latest in a series of awards that the MRII offers throughout the year, connecting winners from around the world with leading market research education and training resources. The MRII Emerging Markets Award for eligible market research professionals in emerging markets will provide access to valuable training in countries where it is needed most.

Corrine Moy, vice president of ESOMAR, said, “As a truly global insights association, ESOMAR is committed to helping facilitate equitable access to all the industry has to offer, no matter where someone might be located around the world. This includes supporting training and educational opportunities for regions that might have economic or other barriers. This new award is a great example of positive outreach to the emerging markets ESOMAR serves.”
