National Representatives (Reps) are volunteers organising at a grassroots level to increase awareness of ESOMAR, liaise with industry leaders and promote the best practices outlined in the ICC/ESOMAR International Code.
Guided by your voice, and their own unique perspectives as ESOMAR members, Reps champion the value of insights and analytics globally by prioritising the challenges you face locally. All heroes in their own right, they are an integral part of your ESOMAR community.

What it celebrates
The National Representative Award shines a spotlight on the extraordinary efforts of a select few for the benefit of your local community.
The award given to the most active ESOMAR Reps every year for demonstrating exceptional passion and commitment. ESOMAR aims to recognise these accomplishments in both developed and emerging markets.

This award recognises outstanding achievement and excellence in contributing to the growth and awareness of the insights and analytics industry in a developed market. These markets have their own unique challenges and the key importance here is ensuring the continuing growth of the business community and ensuring that codes and guidelines are upheld.

Dirk Frank
ESOMAR Representative, Managing Director at ISM Global DynamicsA graduate psychologist wandering between two worlds for over 20 years: with one foot in (applied) psychology, first as a lecturer in Psychological Methods at the University of Frankfurt and as a Guest/Honorary Professor at the Hochschule Pforzheim on the Market Research BA programme since 2001.
An insights and analytics professional with heart and soul, with the Institute since 1993, always on the lookout for both new and tried-and-tested, highly-integrated research designs and evaluation methods which can make the difference for our customers.
His motto: even when the budget is tight, you don’t have to get involved in every sort crap. Dirk also enjoys being on a “mission for research” work at conferences, workshops and seminars, improving the (market research) world. Dirk has been collaborating with Christoph Welter from Point Blank International since 2017 as a National Representative for ESOMAR in Germany.

Christoph Welter
ESOMAR Representative, Managing Director at Point-BlankChristoph is Managing Director at Point Blank in Berlin. Connecting the dots between sociology, consumer psychology and marketing, Christoph polished his strategic approach to research for several years before becoming Point Blanks Head of Consumer Research and resident Black Hole.
In the context of the latter, Christoph has made it his personal responsibility to foster complete and utter befuddlement as to the apparent non-relation between his food intake and body weight. When Christoph is not eating or furthering innovation at Point Blank, he also likes to nerd out about fashion, gaming, lifestyle gadgets and music. (His best-of lists are legendary!)

New markets for insights and analytics have their own unique challenges and opportunities making the work of the representative an important element in grounding standards and quality into the structure of the business community.

Urpi Torrado
ESOMAR Representative, CEO at Datum International, PeruESOMAR member, Representative for Peru and Ambassador for Latin America
Urpi is also Board member of WIN and Executive Member of the Global Research Business Network (GRBN). MBA from Universidad del Pacífico, with more than 25 years of experience in marketing, communication and market research. She taught (for ten years) Market Research in post-graduate programs at Universidad del Pacífico and other local universities. Speaker at national and international events such as ESOMAR, TalkIN, IIeX, CIIM, among others. Urpi is a collaborator for several magazines and publications aiming to influence and contribute to the transformation of the insights and analytics business community.

Cici Fang
ESOMAR Representative, Director GSP APAC & Asia Business Development at DynataCici has approximately 10 years experience focus on online Marketing research in China and 6 years experience for APAC markets. She has experience in building service bureau to support global business, good experience in panel management, operation, project management.
Cici understands clients, builds client relationships, and strengthens understanding of online MR practices in APAC.
Cici is currently the ESOMAR national representative for China.

Gloria Jun Zhang
ESOMAR Representative, CEO at Beijing Dataway Horizon CoGloria Zhang, CEO & Senior Partner of Dataway Horizon (formerly known as Horizon Research Consultancy Group), Chairman of Horizon eLabs responsible for overall development of Dataway Horizon.
Gloria has rich experience in new product development research, branding, cultural study in fast moving consumer goods, durable consumer goods, and automobile industries.
In recent years, Gloria is attempting to explore new research and consulting fields by combining online and mobile community and new product development with customer relationship management. Gloria is contributing to develop a user interaction platform helping enterprises continuously improve and iterate products as well as manage social consumer relationship, so as to help form a closed loop of product development and marketing.
Gloria has founded Horizon Datalab, takes advantage of experience in enterprise management and market insights accumulated for more than 20 years, integrates big data, survey data, interactive data to provide system data solutions. DataLab helps enterprises to establish market competitiveness in a complete flow of multi-scenarios such us community culture, product requirements, brand marketing and service product evaluation etc.
Gloria gives lectures on the whole process of user interaction in the era of data, consumer trends in china and brand communication.
She is a published author, publishing professional books and articles related to these topics.

This award recognizes the achievement and excellence in contributing to the awareness of the market research industry and inspiring others within the country and the African region. This award is for the representative’s contribution to the industry as a whole and for his tireless energy in educating and motivating his local and regional market research industry.

Serge Mumbu
ESOMAR Representative, General Manager at Target SARLBetween March 2010 and September 2011, he travelled throughout DR Congo from the North to South, East to West in order to train media professionals on audience researches and market negotiations under the leadership of France Expertise Internationale, a public organization that provides technical support and French expertise abroad. At the end of 2011, Serge Mumbu decided to create Target. The idea rapidly took shape. He is now the general manager of one of DR Congo's leading associations.
Current representative of ESOMAR in DR Congo (world organization of professionals in market research), he joined WIN/Gallup International in the beginning of 2015, one of the biggest organizations of researches’ agencies that mainly aims at ensuring to companies and consumers market researches corresponding with high standards of quality.

This award is for the representative’s contribution to the industry as a whole and for their tireless energy in motivating and connecting their local insights industries.

Nino Gogoladze
ESOMAR Representative, Managing Director of TV MR GE at NielsenNino Gogoladze is Managing Director of TV MR GE, Nielsen Television Audience Measurement's official licensee in Georgia. She is a professional with over 18 years of experience in marketing, market research and TV Audience Measurement. Nino is the current ESOMAR Representative in Georgia, for more than 10 years and also one of the initiators and active supporters of adopting the Code of Professional Ethics and Practices which stems as well from the ESOMAR code as from other leading professional global standards and will pledge Georgian research community to use the highest standards.
Nino has a comprehensive history of teaching as a trainer and lecturer in the Netherlands Institute of Marketing and Georgian Institute of Public Affairs.

Alina Serbanica
ESOMAR Representative, Senior Vice-President at IpsosAlina Serbanica is Senior Vice President at Ipsos, leading the worldwide Total Operations Data Privacy inside the company. She has 30 years experience in market research and her broader expertise on both online and offline, on delivering market research services and on handling global online operations represent her great asset for dealing with the new data privacy environment, under a very dynamic pace technology, big data, social media and passive data collection have nowadays.
Since 2010 Alina is the current ESOMAR Representative in Romania and she is co-founder member of the Romanian Society for Marketing Research and Opinion Polls (SORMA), currently the President of SORMA.
Nino is ESOMAR's national representative for Georgia and Alina is ESOMAR's national representative for Romania.

Crispin Beale
ESOMAR Representative, Senior Strategic Advisor at mTab, CEO at Insight250, CEO Insights250 & Group President at BehaviorallyCrispin Beale is a marketing, data and customer experience expert. Crispin spent over a decade on the Executive Management Board of Chime Communications as Group CEO of leading brands such as Opinion Leader, Brand Democracy, Facts International and Watermelon. Prior to this Crispin held senior marketing and insight roles at BT, Royal Mail Group and Dixons. Crispin originally qualified as a chartered accountant and moved into management consultancy with Coopers & Lybrand (PwC). Crispin has been a Board Director (and Chairman) of the MRS for c15 years and UK ESOMAR Representative for c10 years. As well as being CEO of Insight250, Crispin is currently Group President of Behaviorally with responsibility for the client and commercial teams globally and the Senior Strategic Advisor at mTab.
Patricia Dominguez
ESOMAR Representative, Global Decision Sciences Insights Analyst at DiageoPatricia leads strategic insights projects connecting the voice of the consumer to business objectives leading to well-informed decisions that bring impact to the business. As an insights professional, she uses a breadth of methodologies and data sources to unlock opportunity. She acts as a strategic partner for cross-functional teams in marketing, insights and innovation.
Patricia is an active member of the insights industry serving as UK Representative for ESOMAR where she loves bringing the UK community together. Patricia is also the co-host of "In the Name of Insight", a podcast aimed to democratise how we share knowledge in the industry.
Alexander Wheatley
ESOMAR Representative, Head of Data and Insight at National Theatre, UKAlex Wheatley is the Head of Data and Insights at the National Theatre in the UK where he is responsible for the National Theatre’s strategic use of data intelligence and insight to reach audiences and participants through live and digital activity.
He is an award-winning researcher and graduate of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method from the London School of Economics.
Prior to his role as Director Global Product at Kantar, he was a member of Lightspeed’s multi award winning ‘QuestionArts’ Innovation department. Applying his analytical and creative skill-set to explore, evaluate, and present upon the challenges of online survey design and data analysis. In 2016 Alex was awarded the ESOMAR Corporate Young Professional Award for his research into political polling.

Baxter Tan

Over the last 10 years Baxter's passion has been in building profitable businesses in Asia Pacific from scratch. Baxter was fortunate enough to be given the opportunities to do just that for Research Now, FocusVision & currently for Language Connect.
As employee #1 for Research Now in Asia, Baxter grew the Asia business from zero revenue & zero client to USD 7-digit per annum turnover in just 18 months, making Research Now to the leading online panel supplier along the way despite being the newest entrant to the highly competitive markets.

Raul Esteban
ESOMAR Representative, Managing Director at PSRCRaul Esteban's passion is to help promote a meaningful Marketing Research ethic in the Philippine business community. To do so, one has to build long lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with users or doers.
Raul been part of the industry for almost a lifetime. I’m a 2nd generation researcher and very fortunate to have learned from a Marketing Research pioneer, who was both mentor and mother to me.
Raul inclined to Strategic Market Studies and Branding research. He has expertise in both quantitative and qualitative tools and extensive experience on a wide range of industries such as personal care and hygiene, home care, telecommunications, alcohol/cigarettes, social and political.
Currently, Raul is Managing Director on PSRC. He joined PSRC in 1987, after spending the early part of my career in Brand Management with Unilever Phils. Concurrently, he is also the Chairman and one of the founders of AGB Phils.
Through the years, Raul has been a board member of several industry organizations (MORES, AdBoard, AdFoundation) and events (Research Congress, Advertising Congress). He has also been invited to speak in many industry conferences (Advertising, Marketing, Marketing Research, Banking, Public Relations, Direct Marketing, Public Opinion Polling).
Raul earned my degree in Management Engineering at the Ateneo de Manila University in 1983 and has maintained his links with the academic community serving as a lecturer in several universities.
Asides from insights and analytics, Raul is also involved in several restaurants, mainly offering fusion cuisine. He sees himself becoming a full time restaurateur after a life in the research industry.

Jesper Platz
ESOMAR Representative, Project Director at Norstat GroupJesper Platz has been working in the insights and analytics sector since 1999. He has conducted a variety of quantitative market research projects for all kind of research buyers in especially Denmark and the Nordic countries.
As Managing Director in Norstat Denmark for 10 years, he mostly provided fieldwork, within both Online surveys, CATI surveys and F2F surveys.
As Managing Director and partner in DMA Research 2016-2011, he has also started developing his skills within Qualitative Research, Mystery Shopping, and other parts of the exciting research world.
He was subsequently recruited back to Norstat again, working on different European projects for the firm.

Giulia Fabrizi
ESOMAR Representative, Managing Director at Almar Quality ResearchAfter graduating in Social Psychology with a thesis on Colour Psychology, Giulia worked initially in Human Resources before moving on to Marketing Research, first focusing on Quantitative and later on Qualitative research at national and International level. She continued to acquire in-depth experiences on this sector over the years, using new methodologies to interpret consumer behaviour in this constantly changing world.
She is proud to be an ESOMAR member since 1995 and to have been ESOMAR Co-Representative for Italy over 4 years (2017-2021).
She is also member of Assocoaching as Business Coach, Team Coach and Parent Coach, Expert in Positive Psychology and certified facilitator in LEGO® SERIOUSPLAY® method.
