Who Can Apply?
The ESOMAR Awards are open to all who push boundaries and explore the unknown in pursuit of deeper understanding. Individuals, companies, brands, and service providers involved in marketing research and insights from every corner of the globe are invited to participate. With the freedom to enter campaigns or projects that demonstrate excellence across our diverse award categories, entrants from all backgrounds and industries have the opportunity to showcase their work on a global stage.
The ESOMAR Awards celebrates achievements that have influenced change, inspired action, or reshaped perspectives.

Awards Scope & Categories
For each award category, you can apply for the global and/or regional award. Each category application requires a separate entry fee.
> Global Awards: Open to all eligible projects from anywhere in the world, regardless of whether the project focuses on a specific country, region, or has a broader scope. When you submit for a Global Award, your project will compete against all other applicants worldwide within the same category.
> Regional Awards: For projects that focus on a single region or a specific country within that region. When you submit for a Regional Award, your project will compete only against other projects from the same region you selected during the registration process and within the same category.

Outstanding Contribution to Consumer Insights

Steps to enter the awards
Step 1: Download the entry kit
Download the entry kit which contains all the information you need to enter the ESOMAR Awards – This essential guide outlines the submission process, judging criteria, required materials, and rules for entering.
By clicking Submit, you will receive an email with information about the entry kit and the next steps for the awards submission. See our privacy policy.
Step 2: Register and Submit Your Entry
When you are ready to register, click on Enter the Awards. You'll be taken to the Evalato platform, where you can register for the awards and upload your entry.
Take your time to perfect your entry—there’s no need to submit it right away. You can save your work as a draft and continue editing until the final submission deadline on 30 June 2025. Please note that once your entry is submitted, it cannot be edited.
Step 3: Await Initial Evaluation Results
After submitting your entry, it will undergo the first round of evaluation by our panel of judges. Shortlisted nominees will be announced in August 2025.
Step 4: Celebrate Your Nomination
If you’re nominated, congratulations! Nominees for the Global Awards will be formally invited to the Gala Ceremony during the ESOMAR Congress in Prague in September 2025. At the ceremony, we will reveal the winners (Gold, Silver & Bronze) in each category.
For the Regional Awards, there will be one winner per category, announced online in September 2025.

Cyrus McCandless
Sentient Decision ScienceSince 1995, Dr. McCandless has specialized in Neuroethology—the study of brain function during natural behavior and stimulation—with a focus on motivation, goal-directed behavior, navigation and spatial orientation, gaining extensive experience in the direct investigation and analysis of the neurophysiological systems underlying the structure and causes of behavior, as well as non-invasive
brain imaging methods such as fMRI and advanced computational modeling and statistical analysis of dynamic systems.
Dr. McCandless is the recipient of four competitive Federal Awards to support his research into the neurophysiology of behavior and cognition. He has published in major peer-reviewed journals, and presented his work at national and international conferences. After leaving academia to investigate real-world, everyday human behavior at-scale, he has won the IBM LEAD Award for Shopper Insight, the EXPLOR Award for Research Innovation from DM2 and the Insights Association, and the ESOMAR Research Effectiveness Award (Gold), among other honors.
Dr. McCandless earned his A.B. in Psychology at the University of Chicago, M.S. in Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh, and Ph.D. in Neurobiology from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He also holds a Certification in Cognitive Neuroscience from the Center for the Neural Basis of Cognition, a National Science Foundation Center of Excellence.

Geospatial Data Scientist, VIDADolphine Mongina is a Geospatial Data Scientist at VIDA, a company that accelerates the pace of electrification in Africa and assesses the risk of climate change on critical infrastructure. In her current role, she provides critical geospatial data that helps VIDA realize its impact.
With over 4 years of experience in geospatial and statistical analysis, she has become an expert in applying Geospatial Information Systems and Remote Sensing to address challenges in various sectors, including market research, energy, environment, climate, and agriculture.
She has a keen interest in applying cutting-edge technology, geospatial technologies, and primary research to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change in the agricultural sector in developing countries. This interest recently led her to lead a project on boosting economic growth and shaping livelihoods in the agricultural sector using machine learning in Kenya and Malawi. This topic was presented at the 2023 ESOMAR annual congress.
Outside of work, Dolphine enjoys watching plays and participating in theater activities. She also enjoys listening to poetry as a simple and enjoyable way to relax and unwind

Kristin has been the recipient of many industry nominations and awards, including the Fernanda Monti award (ESOMAR), the Ginny Valentine Bravery Award, Insight250 and MRS Research Hero. She is the founder and owner of the London-based creative consumer consultancy, Kubi Kalloo and a Fellow of the MRS.
Aeton Lim
NielsenIQAeton Lim brings extensive consulting and forecasting experience on innovation and go-to-market strategies, particularly for leading, world-class clients in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, both in the Asia-Pacific region and other markets within Europe, the United States and Latin America.
In addition to his innovation consulting work, Aeton is an NIQ award winning thought leadership contributor whom regularly provides his perspective to Asia C-suite thought leadership pieces to help advance and shape industry perspectives. He is also an Honoree in the prestigious Global GreenBook Future List in 2025, a recognition to his leadership, professional growth and helping to trailblaze the future of the industry.
Alongside that, Aeton is a Next-Gen APAC Leader whom drives the annual global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) agenda and input to key business DEI priorities at the corporate level. Aeton have also helped NielsenIQ Singapore obtain Company of Good National Award from the nation’s President through advocating and promoting partnerships with commercial and non-profit partnership as a force to do good.
Outside of work, Aeton is an accredited board director at the Singapore Institute of Directors that advocates for effective corporate governance, sustainability and transformation for meaningful change. He has also mentored non-profit leadership alongside board-level executives, providing guidance on growth direction.
Minh Nguyen
GoogleMinh currently leads research and development of Predictive and Generative AI products in marketing and marketing research for the APAC Consumer & Market Insights team at Google. He brings over 10 years of experience of research & development of privacy-centric marketing effectiveness solutions on platforms such as Ads Data Hub, Geo Experiments, and Marketing Mix Modeling.
Prior to his current role at Google, Minh developed ads planning & measurement solutions for advertisers and agencies at Dentsu Inc. and Facebook (now Meta) in Japan. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences such as ESOMAR Congress (2022, 2023, 2024) and Insights Festival (2021), ESOMAR APAC (2020, 2023) and has also served as a lecturer at Tokyo Tech, Hitotsubashi University and New South Wales University.
Minh earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science with a specialisation in AI from the Department of Computational Intelligence and Systems Science at Tokyo Institute of Technology.
