Composition
The Council is made up of 11 members from across the globe who are responsible for ensuring ESOMAR achieving its overall vision, mission and objectives towards you.
President
Kristin Luck
ESOMAR Council Member, President at ESOMAR, Founder and Managing Partner at ScalehouseKristin Luck is ESOMAR President and serves as an advisor and growth strategist to several cutting-edge marketing and analytics technology and services firms through her consultancy, ScaleHouse. She is the founder of two marketing analytics companies that she led to successful exits. Kristin co-founded OTX, an online research business named the fastest growing research firm in the world in 2002 and 2003 and was subsequently acquired by Pilot Group and again by Ipsos in 2007. She then founded Forefront Consulting Group, a research technology firm that Decipher acquired. Decipher was acquired by FocusVision in 2014 after seven consecutive years of double- and triple-digit growth.
Kristin is a licensed investment banker with Oberon Securities and a founder focused on helping fellow founders and executive teams scale and monetize their businesses. Her deal expertise on both sides of transactions comes from participating in both acquisitions and exits from $30 million to $225 million. She is also passionate about supporting founders in international markets executing their entry into the U.S.
In addition to her non-profit association work with ESOMAR, Kristin is the founder of Women In Research and sits on the boards of The ESOMAR Foundation, The Nature Conservancy and International Women's Forum.
Vice-President
Nikki Lavoie
ESOMAR Council Member, Vice-President at ESOMAR, Founder & CEO at MindSpark ResearchNikki is ESOMAR Vice-President.
Nikki is a spirited and intuitive researcher who translates her passion for understanding people into strategic insight. She has focused largely on combining ethnographic and digital techniques in a cross-cultural context, as a result of her years spent in the US and as an expat living in Paris.
In addition to her role on ESOMAR Council, Nikki also sits on the Board of the AQR (Association of Qualitative Research). She has been presenting on topics like agile qualitative research, culture & linguistics and DEI (diversity, equality and inclusion) for over 15 years.
Treasurer
Alain Mizrahi
ESOMAR Council Member, Treasurer at ESOMAR, Chief Executive Officer at Grupo RADARAlain is ESOMAR Council Treasurer.
Director of Grupo RADAR since the creation of the company in 1997. He has been working in the area of market research since 1989. Graduated from the EM LYON School of Business (Lyon, France), and postgraduate (Diplôme d'Etudes Supérieures Spécialisées, DESS) in Economics of Rural Development from the Université de la Méditerrannée (Marseille, France).
Former associate professor of marketing at the ORT Uruguay University, and professor of market research and strategic marketing since 1993. Former President of CEISMU (Chamber of Social and Market Research Companies of Uruguay) from 2015 to 2018.
Former representative of ESOMAR in Uruguay from 2002 to 2018, and ESOMAR Council member during the 2019-2020 mandate, and now Treasurer for the 2021-2022 mandate.

Corrine Moy
ESOMAR Council MemberCorrine Moy is a widely renowned expert in the marketing & data science space, with a track record for innovation and excellence. She currently leads the global Marketing & Data Science practice at GfK, managing a network of over 100 science professionals.
Corrine is a regular contributor to industry conferences and publications, with many awards for this work. She has a long history of teaching, both science and research topics, for the UK-based Market Research Society and for many other research institutes. I have developed innovations in many areas of marketing/data science and research, most latterly an award-winning modular survey methodology, a hybrid research design approach, as well as a unique approach to measuring brand equity. I am keen to bring this experience to the ESOMAR mission.
Joy Uyanwune
ESOMAR Council Member, Head, Global Marketing and Initiatives at Decision SupportJoy Uyanwune who works as the Global Marketing Director at Decision Support, a full service Marketing & Social Research agency that conducts research in sub-Saharan Africa. An African Marketing Research Association Director (AMRA) , a past Nigerian Marketing Research Association (NIMRA) President, and from the great Igbo tribe in Nigeria.
A graduate of Business Administration & Marketing from University of Houston, Texas, USA, I have an over 27-year experience in Marketing and Market & Social Research from both client and agency sides. Her career has been built through years of resolving marketing challenges for multinationals and small companies in various sectors. With experience in most of the fields of marketing and social research in terms of focus and methods, Joy currently works with Decision Support, a full service Marketing & Social Research agency that conducts research in sub-Saharan Africa.
Joy was elected to ESOMAR Council in order to advance beyond discussing the ‘potentials’ of Africa, Joy has stepped forward to encourage positive and inspiring narratives about Africa. As a researcher, Joy recognizes the power of data and insights in pushing development through businesses and governments.
Lisa Wilding-Brown
ESOMAR Council Member, Chief Executive Officer at InnovateMRLisa Wilding-Brown brings nearly 20 years of industry knowledge to the ESOMAR Council, with extensive experience in sampling, survey design, panel development, research field management, mobile optimization, and data quality.
As an avid ResTech thought leader, Lisa has served on the board for both the MMRA and UTA's Master of Science in Marketing Research, and she is an active contributor to WIRexec, the Women-in-Research mentorship program, the Insightes Association and the Global Research Business Network.
In her role as Chief Executive Officer of InnovateMR, Lisa works with the team to build the industry's most powerful and intuitive research tools, celebrate a culture of inclusivity, and continue the team's uncompromising dedication to delivering high quality insights to amazing clients. She also spear-heads the firm's new insights product collection, the Vision Suite™, working to bring faster and more reliable answers to businesses worldwide.
Tom De Ruyck
ESOMAR Council Member, Managing Partner and Head of Insight Activation at InSites ConsultingWith 100 talks per year, Tom De Ruyck’s keynotes have inspired marketing and research professionals across the globe to future-proof their way of working. He has spoken in 45 countries and on 6 continents at major business, marketing, technology and consumer insights events. Next to being Managing Partner at InSites Consulting, Tom is a teaching Professor at different business schools in Europe.
He is co-author of 'The Consumer Consulting Board' and published over 80 white papers, articles in academic journals, business books and trade magazines. Tom was awarded for his work many times, amongst others by the American Marketing Association, ESOMAR and the CMO Council USA and Asia. He was elected to ESOMAR Council for the 2021-2022 mandate.
Vanessa Oshima
ESOMAR Council Member, Head of Marketing Division and Founder at Heart DataVanessa is a marketing and brand strategist known for her strong passion for the end to end process of brand building, and the role brands play in people's lives. Her career has seen her work in insights and strategy teams, marketing and general management roles in Japan for some of the world's most recognizable brands; Coca-Cola, Philip Morris and Nike and Starbucks. Vanessa joined ESOMAR in 2004, presenting a paper on the potential of wireless surveys to change research – this was the start of the drive of future-proofing our approaches (embracing tech), brands and industry.
Vanessa is constantly seeking to understand using a simple process of 'what do I know' - 'so what does that mean' – 'now what do I do'? This has guided her to find actionable insights and insight/data verified opportunities. In 2017, she founded heart-data inc; a marketing strategy company focused on putting the consumer at the heart of the data and creating strategies that are future-proofing brands. In 2018, Vanessa was the co-winner of the ESOMAR paper of the year for her work on brand Ikigai (unpacking brand longevity and loyalty). Vanessa is also a cancer survivor that works to raise awareness of cancer as part of life – that will not hold you back.
Ex-Officio President
As established by our Statutes, the preceding President sits on Council one additional term as the ex-officio president making their expertise and institutional memory available to Council. Their role to ensure consistency between mandates ensuring your community and its resources are managed in a consistent way for your benefit.
Joaquim Bretcha
ESOMAR Individual Member, International Director at NetquestJoaquim Bretcha is ex-officio President of ESOMAR and an Economist at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. A current ESOMAR Council member, he has created and expanded the International Business Unit at Netquest since 2010. Both responsibilities give him the ability to stay permanently in touch with the international community of market research andstay tuned to the latest market developments.
Previously, he has served as Director of Marketing and Purchases at Auchan supermarkets in Spain, Retail Director at Kantar Worldpanel Spain and Merchandising Director at Carrefour supermarkets in Spain. Most recently he has co-founded the NGO “Health us Nepal” to bring health to the remote region of Humla and has had the experience of being a TEDx Talker in England.
Executive Committee (ExecCo)
ESOMAR Council meets on a regular basis to set strategic objectives and priorities and monitor progress towards them on your behalf. In between Council meetings, Council delegates its executive authority onto the Executive Committee (also referred o as the ExecCo). They ensure a more immediate response to emerging opportunities and challenges facing your community.

Marie-Agnes Mourot de Lathyle
ESOMAR Staff, Chief Finance and Operations Officer at ESOMARMarie-Agnès Mourot de Lathyle brings a wealth of experience of global organisations through her previous roles in senior financial and operational positions with companies such as Starbucks, Time Warner, Texas Instruments and Impress.
She has worked in many different countries and speaks fluent English and French, and has a good working knowledge of Dutch, German and Italian.
